G.I. MUTTS is a 501c3 that trains rescue dogs and pairs them with veterans and first responders as service animals. Every dollar you donate or hour you volunteer goes to training dogs and matching them with their very special forever mission.

As many as 500,000 U.S. troops who served in wars over the past 13 years have been diagnosed with PTSD. First responders also have high rates of trauma-based PTSD. Studies show that dogs in particular can be incredibly effective in creating a positive effect in people suffering from PTSD.

We start with rescue dogs who have the aptitude to become service animals and train them through our partners. The mission? To serve the people who've given so much in serving others.
